These tile coasters look like you went to Morocco for your holidays and brought back some local hand painted tiles and made them into coasters – only you made them yourself.
Coasters can brighten up a table and these blue ones go well with the stripy outdoor cushions, to make them all you need is some plain white tiles, spray paint, spray sealer, spray mount, felt and a stencil, and of course the instructions below. Simple!
To make your tile coasters
First cut a square of felt to fit the back of the tile, and stick to the back of the tile with fabric glue, this will prevent any scratches from the tile to surfaces. Then in a well ventilated area, makeshift spray box or in the garden, spray the back of a Martha Stewart’s Arabesque stencil with spray mount, and tap down onto tile in place. Spray over the stencil with blue spray paint, slowly remove the stencil and leave to dry. When dry, spray the tile with a coat of clear sealer. (affiliate links)
When dry place your tile coasters on a table and dream of exotic vacations as you drink your wine/sangria/prosecco etc in the sunshine.
Of course you’ll want to dream of holidays whilst listening to the relaxing flow of water from your water feature that you DIY-ed too.
Whilst day dreaming, you’ll have hung your ‘we’re in the garden’ sign on your front door also.
And not only that you’ll be reading the best items for English Country Garden style to go in your garden.
